Opus Gay Association, ILGA Europe member, was elected to promote this conferece. ILGA Europe with head office in Bruxels, has the support of the European Comission, namely in the european network in the fight against discrimination and as a member of the European Platform of Social NGOs.
The conference had participants of about 30 countries across Europe. The offical languages where Portuguese and English. It was the first time an ILGA Europe Conference took place in the extreme South Europe, with the firm objective to overcome the religious prejudice that can be an obstacle to the development of Human Rights for the GLBT.
